Difference between focus point and focal length of lens.

The rays of light travelling parallel to principal axis of a lens, after refraction from the lens, meets on the principal axis or appear to meet on the principal axis. The point where the rays meet is called as focus point.


The distance between focus point and the optical centre of a lens is called as its focal length.
